  CDC Cohousing Development Consulting

Ronaye Matthew has over 30 years experience in residential development, marketing and construction. She has provided start-up and development management services for most of the completed cohousing communities in Canada. Ronaye works with groups from the initial forming stage to move-in. She knows what it takes to support a group to ground their vision in reality and generate the membership and financial resources required to move forward and get the project built in a time and cost efficient manner. Ronaye is a founding member of the Canadian Cohousing Network and lives at Cranberry Commons Cohousing.
 
       
  Alan Carpenter

Alan Carpenter has 25 years experience in residential design and construction. He is a regular presenter and guest speaker at many Community Development and Housing related seminars, workshops and programs. Alan is one of North America's foremost experts on cohousing and is co-founder of the U.S. based Cohousing Network and Canadian Cohousing Network. Alan was involved in the creation of WindSong Cohousing in Langley, B.C., completed in 1996, and he currently lives there.
   
       
  Coville Challenge

Marc Paradis, Coville Challenge Inc has been involved in the construction and development of $60-80 million worth of projects over the last 30 years and in cohousing when it first came to Canada in the early 1990's while living in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island. He has been living in Prairie Sky Cohousing in Calgary Alberta since 2004 and has been promoting cohousing and assisting start up groups for many years. He has undertaken numerous presentations and media events about cohousing and conducted workshops to assist groups through various phases of their development. Most recently he is focusing his considerable energy and expertise on the development of cohousing in a more vital and dynamic way. In addition to providing presentations, workshops and project management services to cohousing groups, Coville is taking a more proactive role as a developer of cohousing.
 
       
  Connexus Cohousing Collaborative

Connexus is a cohousing advocacy and consulting partnership between Jasen Robillard and Chris ScottHanson. As an active member of the Dragonfly Cohousing group in Calgary, Jasen has played a critical role in the site selection, programming and ongoing design development process. Jasen also acts as a group facilitator and community coordinator with Dragonfly. His active role in the Dragonfly development has led him to pursue cohousing consulting services on a full-time basis. In his capacity with Connexus, Jasen applies his experience and background in community organization, project management and environmental engineering consulting to kickstart cohousing groups and lead them through the development process to project completion. Chris ScottHanson is a well-respected leader in cohousing development in North America and author of The Cohousing Handbook: Building a Place for Community. A development consultant since 1981, Chris has a broad range of experience in all aspects of multifamily housing, from land acquisition through construction. Chris has assisted more than 35 cohousing groups across the country with all aspects of the cohousing development process and is especially skilled at land acquisition negotiation. Together, Jasen & Chris offer cohousing outreach, group facilitation, land acquisition services, project budgeting, feasibility analysis, as well as complete project management services.
